Escaping

Imagine being blindfolded and following a path (your path). How would you know you have strayed from the path? When the going is no longer smooth, when you are stumbling, banging into things, tripping up…lots, not just occasionally. More often than you are comfortable with… you know what I am talking about.

Off your path things are not very easy, they do not flow.

If this is you, I guess you want to find your way back to your path? In fact, you may have been trying for quite a while. Do you want company on that journey back to your path?

You’ve come to the right place to find help.

Working with Sarah supports me to connect compassionately with my truth. I feel heard, respected and valued, and trust her commitment to the processes she works. I’ve found some profound shifts have come working her methodology, offering me clarity, liberation and peace.” Olive

Poppyland by AnjaMy aim is to support you to make changes that you want to see in your life: big or small. To help you to find what you want to shine at (if you don’t know) and to act as a catalyst to you being more of yourself.

I predominately use a technique called NVC (Nonviolent Communication) which was developed by Marshall Rosenberg. If you want more info on NVC click on these two links: CNVC.org and NVC-UK.com. The latter is THE place to go if you are in the UK. Also you can look at my resources page.

One thing I love about the framework of NVC is that it distinguishes between strategies and Needs (the word Need is used in NVC to refer to basic human longings or values, see here for a definition). This makes NVC a great mediating tool, for both interpersonal and internal conflicts. I aim for agreement rather than compromise, because compromise doesn’t help people be more of themselves!

Would you like someone to walk your path with you?

In my work I rely heavily upon Empathy – a specific way of displaying understanding used in NVC. Getting in touch with what really makes your heart sing helps you to get unstuck, know what to do when you are distressed and much, much more.

What takes you off your path may be beliefs you don’t realise you have that are no longer serving you. It may be fears you are aware or are not aware of. Whatever it is, why not get in touch to find out more, or look around this site.

4 Thoughts.

  1. Hi Sarah – This is all like a re-education to me about how to take the time to truly value ourselves ….in order to truly value others. I feel humble and grateful (, but also ashamed of my ignorance! A judgement again! I hope that I can learn to value more. Thank you. Helen xo)

    • Hi Helen, yes I see it that way too – a re-learning of the communication we used as a baby, where we express ourselves without judging, and from our hearts. I hope we can all learn to value ourselves and others too! And I enjoy welcoming the judgments and translating them. I say enjoy them because they are effective at telling us when a need isn’t met. Xx

  2. Nice website … pics, colours…! I particularly enjoyed the bit at the end about beliefs. Core beliefs is a theme I’ve been focusing a lot on myself the last year or two, I think it’s often underplayed in NVC.

    • Thanks Graham. I am pleased to hear your comments, especially bearing in mind your skill with websites and words! I have no skills with websites so this is a long way off what I want, but at least it is readable after someone rescued me!!

Core beliefs are so tricky. They can run the show without us realising.
      All the best
      Sarah
